Thomson Reuters’ Tax & Accounting business, the leading provider of technology and information solutions, announced today its newly signed pact with PwC in the United Kingdom that would supply its ONESOURCE Corporate Tax UK solution (formerly ABACUS).

The signed contract went after a series of discussions between PwC and Thomson Reuters that commenced earlier this year. Prior to the pact, Thomson Reuters and PwC polished several contracts that have been signed by as late as October 22 this year after going through a competitive selection process.

PwC will now have ONESOURCE Corporate Tax UK solution as one of the technologies it can use to supply its corporate tax compliance service.

Managing director of the Corporate Market EMEA for the Tax & Accounting business of Thomson Reuters Mike Roberts said in a statement that the decision of PwC to use its technology is spurred by its desire to “ease the complexity of the corporate tax compliance process.” He added that PwC aims to address the increasing demands coming from multinational corporations that operate within an environment challenged by tax.

The two firms will ensure a smooth transition phase within ONESOURCE Corporate Tax UK solution by commencing its implementation immediately. Thomson Reuters said the implementation phase will undergo an orderly transformation over the coming months.

Thomson Reuters has been known to lead the industry of intelligent information for businesses and professionals. Its Tax & Accounting business is also known to take the highest lead in integrating tax compliance software and services that Thomson Reuters delivers to different accounting tax and corporate finance professionals in accounting firms, corporations, law firms and government.
