IIA Audit Manager Tools and Techniques Course

The Institute of Internal Auditors is going to carry out a course on Audit Manager Tools and Techniques in different dates and locations in the United States.

The seminar focuses on providing new managers with the tools they need to lead effectively in an internal auditing environment.

There will be practical exercises and case studies in the event where participants will practice how to manage the roles and relationships of the diverse parties involved in the auditing process.

The event will also be opportunity for participants to understand how to identify, document, and evaluate internal controls, to discover the best techniques for gathering audit evidence and preparing work papers, to enhance and practice interpersonal and team-building skills throughout the audit process, to effectively manage the audit staff and its resources, to develop effective channels of communication with the CAE and executive management, to master audit management techniques through effective planning, problem solving, motivation, and vision, to learn techniques for managing time, assigning and delegating tasks, and documenting and presenting audit results and to Create an environment of trust, teamwork, accountability, and responsibility and develop strategies to increase participation and cooperation of the audit staff.

New audit managers with less than six months of audit management experience and non-auditors with responsibility for managing staff and risk-based environments are invited to attend the seminar.
Seminar dates and venues are May 23-26, 2011 in Orlando, Florida, June 20-23, 200 in Las Vegas, Nevada, August 22-25, 2011 in Palm Beach Florida, September 20-23, 2011 in Washingtton DC and October 31-November 3, 2011 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The CPE credits of the event is 32 hours.
