2nd Merger Integration Management Forum at Amsterdam
Networking organization Thought Leader Global will be holding a merger integration management forum for the second time on September 29-30, 2011 at Amsterdam.
“Many research groups expect a resurgence in M&A for 2011 and for global deal activity to exceed $3 trillion,” Thought Leader Global stated.
It said this results in the need of formulating a “structured and successful” integration will become even more relevant.
“Companies must balance the need for function and harmonised processes against winning the hearts and minds of the new organisation’s workforce. Strategic due diligence is necessary where you can review key variables, metrics as well as qualitative factors such as corporate culture.”
Working with dedicated integration personnel with solid project management experience and ensuring a cross-functional team are notable challenges – as is involving the integration team during the due diligence process, the organization noted.
One of the key areas of savings, it continued, is IT Integration: a strong and efficient IT integration strategy must be taken into consideration.
The forum will be sponsored by global accountancy firm Price Waterhouse Coopers.
