The sixth conference to be spearheaded by Marcus Evans, an organizer of live business summits and conferences worldwide with main office at London, will convene 15 key players in the internal audit industry who would impart insights into the recent developments of internal audit roles.

The two-day conference, which Marcus Evans has been holding annually since 2006, will tackle how independence and objectivity of internal auditors have been molded through the years, the need to shift the focus to modern threats to businesses, and the use of new technologies to enhance the process of auditing.

Key players who be presenting their insights into the evolution of internal audit roles include representatives from Emirates Group – UAE, Flextronics – Hong Kong, InterContinental Hotels Group – China, Maybank – Malaysia, Malaysia Airlines, Singapore Exchange, Institute of Internal Auditors Singapore, Unilever Asia – Singapore, Standard Chartered Bank – Singapore, Novartis Asia Pacific – Singapore, Xilinx – Singapore, DKSH Management – Singapore, Dow Chemical – Singapore, Bridgestone Finance Europe – Singapore and 3M – Singapore.

Ernst & Young Singapore will facilitate a workshop for participants right after the conference to impart ways and means to deal with internal auditing amid the changing environment. Ernst & Young’s workshop will also pave the way for rooms of improvements in the internal audit industry following major setbacks and questions over internal audit roles, particularly in the 2008 economic crisis.
