IFRS Conference in Kuala Lumpur, 28 March 2012

This year’s Asia-Oceania IFRS conference will take place in Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on the 28 March 2012.

The conference is hosted jointly by the Malaysian Accounting Standards Board and the IFRS Foundation.

The one-day conference offers the opportunity to learn about implementing new International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs) and to be updated on active projects and plans of the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB).

The conference will highlight the shaping of the IASB’s future agenda; IFRSs technical update – active projects and new and amended IFRSs; IFRS measurements; and IFRS implementation support and post-implementation review updates.

Presenters include the IASB Chairman (Hans Hoogervorst), Vice-Chairman (Ian Mackintosh) and a number of other IASB members and senior staff, and other IFRS experts.

The IASB invites those who want to learn more about the significance of IFRSs, its future and impact on local and international constituents, and also the implementation aspect of IFRS, and mid-to-senior level executives in public accounting, finance, tax, investor relations, business and industry, board and audit committee members, internal auditors, attorneys, consultants, analysts and professors/academics.
