Protiviti will present today an approach that reduces the risk of failing to select the single best ERP solution and the ERP implementation that does not meet the needs of the business or runs materially over budget or late.

The business consulting and internal audit firm said this approach enables companies to make the ERP Selection decision based on a realistic estimate of the total cost of ownership. Protiviti, thus, will hold a roundtable discussion today, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at its office, 17th Floor, 50 California Street, San Francisco.

The event features two speakers: Ronan O’Shea, Managing Director who has 20 years of experience in enterprise applications selection, design and implementation, and Siamak Razmazma, Director who has over 20 years experience in ERP selection and solution design, business process automation, ERP optimization, and risk management.

According to Protiviti, there are two critical challenges in selecting an ERP Solution.

“First, you must envision and articulate the needs of your business, clearly defining how your processes should operate in the future, any complex business rules and how the system will integrate into your extended IT environment,” it said.

“This target solution should satisfy your expectations regarding level of automation, reporting and analytics, and flexibility and scalability.”

Second, it identified the need to select the single ERP solution that best fits these requirements subject to budgetary, cultural and other factors.

At the event, Protiviti will present an overview of the leading ERP solutions and how to understand which processes they are designed to support. It will also facilitate a discussion on SaaS (Software as a Service) solutions.

This seminar will qualify participants for CPE credit.
