Efficiency in the Financial Close Cycle, October 11 , 2011 at Cleveland, OH

Protiviti has announced that it will hold a speaker event on October 11, 2011 at Cleveland, Ohio to share ways about how organizations are achieving significant improvements in standardizing and improving the financial close cycle.

“With the demands of today’s economy, most companies are being pressed to drive greater efficiency into their operations. The financial close is often an area of focus where greater efficiency and effectiveness is desired,” Protiviti stated.

The two-hour presentation will feature Brad Rachmiel, Director of Protiviti. Brad is a Director in Protiviti’s Chicago office and leads Protiviti’s Finance & Accounting Excellence practice in the Central Region.

Prior to joining Protiviti, Brad was a Senior Manager in Arthur Andersen’s Chicago office and also spent several years as the Chief Financial Officer of a privately held manufacturing and distribution company.

He assists clients develop and implement processes to address changes and risks surfacing from organizational restructurings, unique business transactions, or other events that challenge the financial close and reporting functions.

He has recently consulted with several clients in dealing with IPO preparation, forensic investigations, financial restatements and control rationalization efforts.

Brad is a CPA, earned his MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg Graduate School of Business, and his B.S. in Accounting from Indiana University.
