Accounting and Management Information Systems International Conference 2011

The Faculty of Accounting and Management Information Systems of the Bucharest from the Academy of Economic Studies in Romania, in collaboration with the International Association for Accounting Education and Research (IAAER) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) is going to hold the 5th Accounting and Management Information Systems International Conference on June 17-18, 2010 in the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies.

Papers are invited to participate in the broad areas of financial accounting, managerial accounting, auditing, financial analysis, management information systems and business law and the authors are encouraged to submit theoretical and empirical contributions that are double-blind refereed.

To be present in the event is Prof. Donna Street (University of Dayton, USA, President of the IAAER), Prof. Katherine Schipper (Duke University, USA, former member of the FASB), Prof. David Alexander (University of Birmingham, UK), Prof. Robert Faff (University of Queensland, Australia), Prof. Allan Hodgson (University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and University of Leeds, UK), Prof. Eddy Vaassen  (Maastricht University, the Netherlands), Prof. Lee Yao (Loyola University, USA), Prof. Recep Pekdemir (Istanbul University, Turkey) and Prof. Philippe Germak (CNAM Paris, France).

Before the conference, an Early Career Researcher Consortium will be co-organized by the International Association for Accounting Education and Research (IAAER) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). The primary goal of the consortium is to build the research skills capacity of early career accounting scholars who are based in transitional economies.

A number of esteemed international accounting scholars will be attending the consortium to, among other things, provide constructive feedback on research paper proposals or ideas.
