CRMA PER Recipients Required to Comply with CPE Requirements in Year Following Activation

July 24, 2012 /

The IIA has changed the Continuing Professional Education (CPE) reporting requirements for holders of the designations it confers, including the Certification in Risk Management Assurance™ (CRMA®).

In order to maintain an active CRMA status, CRMAs are required to earn CPE as outlined and must report credits earned by December 31st of the year following the activation of their CRMA. For example, CRMAs who earned their designation in 2011 will be required to report CPE by December 31, 2012. Individuals earning their CRMA in 2012 will not be required to report compliance with The IIA’s CPE requirements until December 31, 2013.
