July 09, 2012 /

Ashley Steel, vice chairman at KPMG and Global Chair for Transport, has been named in the inaugural World Pride Power List – a list of the 100 most influential LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) people.

The World Pride Power List was published in The Guardian, and released to coincide with the World Pride event that took place in London on Saturday 7 July.

The final list of 100 was decided by judges Ben Summerskill, chief executive of Stonewall; Mike Fuller, Managing Director of UnitedHealth UK; Cuc Vu, Chief Diversity Officer for the Human Rights Campaign; and Linda Riley, managing director of Square Peg Media (publisher of Pride London).

Ashley has previously been named in the Independent on Sunday’s Pink List and last year’s UK Pride Power List.

She said: “I was delighted and honoured to be included in the list. Being named in this list is further evidence that KPMG is a great place to work for all our people irrespective of sexual orientation.”
