The American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) will announce the results of the first CGMA Global Economic Forecast tomorrow, Thurs., March 29.

The new forecast and related CGMA Global Economic Index provides a comprehensive outlook on world and regional economies from the viewpoint of more than 600 CEOs, CFOs, controllers and other management accounting executives who guide strategic decisions at companies in more than 60 countries around the globe.

The results will be available on www.aicpa.org/press.

The quarterly CGMA Global Economic Forecast, conducted via email questionnaire from February 22 to March 13, asks management accountants to rate their optimism for the global economy, their national economies and their own organizations.

It also provides responses from these senior executives on their expectations for revenues and profits and their plans for spending and employment over the next 6 to 12 months. The Index aggregates 10 factors at equal weight to reveal an overarching picture for the world economy in the coming months.

The survey provides insights from management accountants on future global business hiring and spending.
