Infosys Technologies Awarded the 2010 Force of Ideas Award

Infosys Technologies has been rewarded with the 2010 Force of Ideas Award at the Corporate Strategy and Finance Board Summit. The award ceremony was hosted by the Corporate Executive Board, USA in Washington D.C.

The award recognizes the management practices that define the way in which companies conduct businesses and create substantial value for organizations. “Strategic Engagement” is the category under which Infosys Technologies has been awarded this honor for its unique strategic plans it uses to engage all stake holders of the company.

Sanjay Purohit, Vice President and Head – Corporate Planning and Business Assurance at Infosys Technologies, said in a statement after receiving the award that, it was an honor for the company to be selected for the award and being recognized as a leader in corporate strategy was an achievement.

Purohit said that at Infosys, employees are the key stake holders and the efforts were always directed towards better business innovations. Infosys involves its employees in key strategic decisions for effectively managing corporate performance; Purohit has also been reported to say at the awards ceremony.

Infosys Technologies has long been known to have evolved a culture of ongoing strategic information exchange as it involves its employees in the process of development of strategy. This has made the employees aware of the company’s strategic vision, to which it contributes to.

Scott Bohannon, who is General Manager of the Corporate Executive Board, said at the awards ceremony that Force of Ideas winners were willing to make changes that not only led to improved corporate performance in their own companies, but also ensured that a new standard was set by other companies as well. He also said: “CEB Force of Ideas winners are defining best practices in business management”.
