Robin Jarvis and Ricardo Rodil, both members of IFAC’s Small and Medium Practices Committee have been appointed to the Small and Medium-Sized Entities (SMEs) implementation group newly created by International Financial Reporting Standards Foundation

Mazars, while expanding their operations in the Midlands have made three appointments. Louis Burns, a former senior manager with Deloitte will now be working in the audit. Trevor Hillier, a former director in KPMG will enrich the internal audit arms of the company. Amisha Patel will work as an assistant manager in the VAT operation of the firm.

John Whitfield got appointment from the corporate restructuring and recovery specialist MCR as managing partner at their first office located in Birmingham. John is the former head of the asset-based lending group at two leading UK firms.

John Baker has been promoted by RSM Tenon to the post of Director in charge of the RSM national fraud solutions team. This commensurate with his previous stint as project leader for the attorney general’s fraud loss measurement unit’s working group.

Ernst & Young has absorbed Steven Lang as its first Cleantech leader for their units at Ireland and UK. Lang has been working for Ernst & Young since last 18 years and now he shall gain wide experience as Cleantech leader in the area of advising clients on transactions, sustainability issues and transformation programmes.

Wellers Wealth Management has appointed Hayley North as Managing Director subsequent to the merger of its North Financial company with the IFA associate company of Wellers Accountants. Formerly, North was working Barclays in London and Paris and for the Bank of America in New York and London.

Deloitte has promoted Zahir Bokhari as head of UK banking and capital market audit business. He is with Deloitte for over 20 years.
