Ex-finance Director Accused of Theft

A former Finance Director has been accused of theft, stealing £1.3 million from her employers.

As the Yorkshire Post reported today, Rebecca Jones who is a former Finance Director of Cullingworth at Bradford has been granted unconditional bail by Leeds magistrates at court.

Jones has also been told to return to court of September 23. On the day, the case will be submitted to the crown court.

Squirrel Storage at Leed’s is Rebecca Jones’ former employer. She has been accused of stealing more than £1.3 million from the company.

Squirrel Storage is a data storage company that offers services and facilities to the business community of the area.

Rebecca Jones is married and is a mother two children.

Jones started working in the company as a debt collector. She started off 10 years back. Soon she became the principal concerned person in the company’s finance department.

She has been working as Finance Director since the last 2 years. She was suspended from the services of the company in October last year when irregularities cropped in.

The company sued Jones when an internal audit of the finance department found gross irregularities in its working.
