Walletts Pocketed by Begbies

Begbies Traynor, the restructuring group has acquired Wallets Insolvency Services of the Wallets Chartered Certified Accountants.

Walletts Insolvency Services started its operation in April 1999.It services include expertise and advice on all aspects of recovery, personal and corporate recovery. The firm had developed a reputation of excellence with accountants, solicitors, creditors and several financial institutions that were in the profession of rescue and recovery.

The Stoke-on-Trent-base insolvency division was also catering to financial advisory services with focus on corporate insolvency and recovery for small and medium sized entities. This division shall now be integrated into the existing insolvency operations of Begbies’ in Stokes.

Ric Traynor, Chairman of Begbies said that subsequent to the recent acquirement of Hamiltons and Tomlinsons, this take over reflects ongoing progress in accordance with the long-term strategy of expanding the core insolvency of the group and business restructuring.

Traynor further added that they would be looking forward to welcoming specialists from Walletts’ insolvency division into their team and that he trusts that their existing caseloads would leverage and local contact base would promote the presence of Begbies to new heights in the Staffordshire marketplace.

Recently, in July, the listed accountancy firm Begbies Traynor has enlarged its 70-member strong tax team with the inclusion of tax specialist from disintegrated Vantis firm. Joining the firm’s London office were Don Martin, previously head of tax disputes and litigation group at vantis along with his teammates namely Allan Brown, Martin O’Neill, Simon Sutcliffe and Ian Manly.
