Deloitte Is the World’s Top Audit Firm
Deloitte has squeaked past Pricewaterhouse Coopers to become the world’s No. 1 accountancy and audit network.
This is the first time the firm has held the top post of accountancy in its history.
Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu also has the largest number of staff working for it in its world-wide network.
Deloitte announced its global revenue to be of $26.578 billion (£16.755 billion) today. Pricewaterhouse Coopers had announced that it had raked up revenue of $26.569 billion just yesterday.
Deloitte beat Pricewaterhouse Coopers International by only a $9 million margin.
The Deloitte network has also managed to be the lead in the number of staff members. Throughout the world, Delete has a staff of 170,000. This is far greater than Pricewaterhouse Coopers, which has around 162,000 employees the world over.

It has been reported that between the years 2005 and 2009, Deloitte managed to outgrow its peers by 2.7 to 3.3% every year.
Over the past 5 years, Deloitte had committed itself to investing more than $1 billion in strategy.
Manoj Singh, who is the global Managing Director of DTTL Operations, said: “Deloitte is focused on building the scale and breadth required to address their clients’ most complex challenges.”
